ST. LOUIS, Sept. 14, 2016—The Saint Louis Art Museum recently promoted Sean O’Neal to director of digital experience and media to oversee a new department charged with identifying new ways to use technology to interpret and share the collection, advance understanding and appreciation of art, and reach new audiences.
Since coming to the Art Museum in 2007, O’Neal has taken on a significantly expanded scope of responsibilities, including board secretary, custodian of records, and project analyst. Following the Commission’s adoption of Art, Experience, Community: The Saint Louis Art Museum Strategic Plan in 2014, O’Neal was appointed co-leader of the museum’s staff implementation team responsible for the development of a comprehensive digital strategy.
