ST. LOUIS, Aug. 29, 2017—The Saint Louis Art Museum will be open from 10 am to 5 pm on Labor Day (Sept. 4) as its exhibition exploring the history of men’s fashionable dress enters its closing weeks. The museum usually is closed on Mondays so that staff can rotate works of art and make other improvements to the galleries.

Reigning Men: Fashion in Menswear, 1715–2015” closes on Sunday, Sept. 17. The exhibition highlights 300 years of men’s fashion with exceptional ensembles drawn primarily from the renowned collection of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, which organized the exhibition.

Fashion lovers who haven’t yet seen the exhibition shouldn’t wait for the exhibition’s closing weekend, which coincides with the Great Forest Park Balloon Race. Because this year’s event is based on Art Hill, access to parts of Forest Park will be limited and the museum will close early at 3 pm on both Friday, Sept. 15 and Saturday, Sept. 16.
